Kothuri Pranay

Kothuri Pranay, born on December 10, 2005, is a remarkable young athlete excelling in multiple disciplines, including triple jump, long jump, and high jump. Despite his young age, Pranay has already carved a niche for himself in both the national and international athletic circuits, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication.

Pranay’s journey into athletics is supported by his father, K. Lingaiah, a farmer, who has nurtured his passion for sports from a young age. Currently pursuing his education in the second year of intermediate studies, Pranay balances academics with rigorous training sessions to hone his skills in various track and field events.

Harsha’s athletic journey began in his school years, where he discovered his talent for sprinting. Encouraged by his family and coaches, he started participating in various competitions, quickly making a name for himself in the athletics community.

Pranay’s achievements span across various prestigious competitions:

  • 38th National Junior Athletics Championships, 2023: 5th place in 400m Hurdles with a personal best of 54.12 seconds.
  • 34th South Zone Athletics Championships, 2023: Bronze in 400m Hurdles clocking 54.22 seconds.
  • 21st National Federation Cup Junior Athletics Championships, 2023: 6th place in Triple Jump with a jump of 14.61 meters.
  • 5th Khelo India Youth Games, 2022: Gold in Triple Jump with a personal best of 14.95 meters and 8th place in Long Jump.
  • 37th National Junior Athletics Championships, 2022: Gold in Triple Jump (14.89 meters) and 4th place in High Jump (1.93 meters – personal best).
  • 17th National Youth Athletics Championships, 2022: Gold in Triple Jump (14.83 meters) and 7th place in Long Jump (6.83 meters).
  • 4th Khelo India Youth Games, 2021: 6th place in Long Jump with a personal best of 6.99 meters.
  • ISF World School Games, 2022: 4th place in Triple Jump (14.68 meters).
  • SGFI School Games, 2022: Silver in Triple Jump and Bronze in Long Jump.
